2nds World prides itself on providing the very best service not only within our stores and website operation but also when it comes to providing a hassle free installation and connection service.

Installation services listed below are currently only available to Sydney and Melbourne customers and are available Mon-Sat every week. When a product requires a licenced plumber and/or licenced Electrician we will coordinate for the installer to contact you directly, upon completion of your order, to coordinate a suitable time and day for the installation. Installations can take upwards of 5-7 days from order to be installed (where items are in stock and ready to be despatched).

 

Please advise our sales staff of any delivery conditions such as flights of stairs, lift access, width of stair well (if narrow) or door widths to assist us in determining access of the actual product into your residence.

 

Air Conditioners

Air Conditioning Installations - Sydney/Melbourne Only

  • 2nds World only uses certified Supplier for all Air Conditioning installations
  • Customer need to contact the installer directly for quotation
  • Any payment agreed to by installer and customer needs to be paid directly to the installer
  • The installation company can install - Split System Air Con's and Window Air Con's

Portable Air Conditioners (delivery service - Sydney/Melbourne only)

  • If “removal of old” has been chosen then the Portable Air Conditioner will need to be disconnected/removed from its existing location and made available for our couriers to take the unit away for recycling.
  • All window kits and hoses will need to be removed from their fixed location for removal.
  • Our couriers are not authorised to uninstall existing/installed Portable Air Conditioners.

 

 

Clothes Dryers

Clothes Dryers - Vented (delivery service - Sydney/Melbourne only)

  • Vented Dryers will be unboxed, set in place, levelled and plugged in (except under-bench)
  • All packaging materials of your new device shall be removed and disposed of by our courier.
  • Old unit should be unplugged, emptied and ready for removal
  • Under-bench units must be removed from location and ready for disposal
  • Under-bench “connection” is not available as part of the standard delivery service

Clothes Dryers - Vented (installation service - Sydney/Melbourne only)

  • Vented Dryers will be unboxed, set in place, levelled and plugged in ready for use.
  • All packaging materials of your new device shall be removed and disposed of by our courier.
  • Old unit should be unplugged, emptied and ready for removal
  • Wall Mounting is available as part of the service where a wall bracket is made available to the installer (some machines ship with a wall bracket - ask one of our staff to confirm)
  • Where “ducting” is required this will be at an extra charge to be quoted directly to the customer by the installer.
  • If existing ducting is available and can be used in the installation then this shall be part of the installation and will not incur an extra charge.
  • Under-bench installations can be completed if the new unit “fits” within the existing cavity and no alteration work is required…any alteration work to benchtops etc would be at an extra charge payable directly to the installer.

Clothes Dryers - Condensor (delivery service - Sydney/Melbourne only)

  • Condensor Dryers will be unboxed, set in place, levelled and plugged in (except under-bench)
  • All packaging materials of your new device shall be removed and disposed of by our courier.
  • Old unit should be unplugged, emptied and ready for removal
  • Under-bench units must be removed from location and ready for disposal

Fridges & Freezers

Refrigerators and Freezers (delivery service - Sydney/Melbourne only)

  • Your existing appliance should be emptied prior to delivery. Where applicable your existing appliance should be defrosted prior to delivery.
  • Current “built-in” models will need to be removed prior to delivery.
  • Your new purchase will be unpacked, positioned in place, levelled and plugged in.
  • Ice maker and water connections will require a 3rd party installer and are not part of this service. If a “plumber” is required please advise at time of purchase and we will assist in providing a cost for your consideration.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Please check the measurements of the area for your new refrigerator to ensure it fits comfortably into the space. Also, please make sure the refrigerator will fit through doorways and access points including stairs as delivery drivers cannot remove doors from your home or the refrigerator.

 

Washing Machines

Washing Machines (delivery service - Sydney/Melbourne only)

  • Washing machines will be unboxed, set in place, levelled and plugged in.
  • All packaging materials of your new device shall be removed and disposed of by our courier
  • Any standing water in your old machine should be emptied by you prior to delivery.
  • The hoses supplied with your new washing machine will be connected to the water taps and the machine will be tested by the delivery staff.
  • Under-bench units (front loaders) must be removed from location and ready for disposal
  • Under-bench “connection” is not available as part of the standard delivery service
  • Hot and Cold water taps must be located within the reach of the hoses supplied with the new machine.
  • Hose connections must not be corroded.
  • The drain position must be within reach of the new drain hose supplied with the machine
  • Existing hoses cannot be re-used due to the potential of bursting and/or leakage
  • A 10Amp power point must be within reach of the cord supplied/attached to the machine.

If any of the above conditions are not able to be met then connection cannot be performed by our staff/contractor and an “installer” will need to be organised on your behalf. This will incur additional costs which our friendly customer service representatives can advise and coordinate for you.

 

Cooktops / Stovetops

Electric/Ceramic/Induction Cooktops (delivery service - Sydney/Melbourne only)

  • If “removal of old” has been chosen then the cooktop will need to be removed and made available for our couriers to take the unit away for recycling.
  • Our couriers are not authorised to uninstall existing/installed cooktops

 

Electric/Ceramic/Induction Cooktops (installation service - Sydney/Melbourne only)

  • Old unit will be removed
  • Please ensure that you have checked all of the dimensions of the newly ordered product to ensure that it will fit in the current position/setting.
  • Pre-Existing “cut-out” must be of exact dimension to receive newly purchased cooktop
  • Pre-existing wiring of the correct amperage must be available and in isolation back to switch board.
  • Any additional “cutting/filling” of any bench-top surface will be charged as an extra and can be quoted by the installer when delivery is made of your purchase.
  • Any “trimming/surround” will be charged as an extra and can be quoted by the installer when the delivery is made of your purchase.
  • Any additional “wiring” will be charged as an extra and can be quoted by the installer when the delivery is made of your purchase.

Vacuum Cleaners

Vacuums (delivery service - Sydney/Melbourne only)

  • If “removal of old” has been chosen then the Vacuum will need to be disconnected/removed from its existing location and made available for our couriers to take the unit away for recycling.
  • All hoses will need to be made available for removal.
  • If a WET and DRY Vacuum is being removed please ensure that no water is in the old unit and that it is dry for removal.
